Rhinoplasty and Nose Surgery

What is Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty, commonly known as a “nose job,” is a facial plastic surgery procedure designed to reshape the nose to enhance its appearance or function. A Rhinoplasty procedure is often used to make aesthetic change to the nose to better fit the face, such as increasing or decreasing the overall size, removing a hump, reshaping the bridge, altering the size of the nostrils, raising or reshaping the tip of the nose. Surgery can also help improve the function of the nose, often helping to treat snoring or other impediments to breathing. Often, the nose can be both aesthetically and functionally enhanced at the same time.

Who Gets a Nose Job?

Every year thousands of people in the Riverside area choose to undergo rhinoplasty as a means of improving their appearance and health. Generally, this surgery is only performed on adults whose noses have finished growing (typically around the age of fourteen or after). Once kept secret by individuals, a rhinoplasty procedure has become widely accepted with many celebrities, athletes, and others undergoing the procedure. In fact, Rhinoplasty is the second most popular form of plastic surgery (second only to liposuction).
